NaPoWriMo ~ Day 5 Heirloom Inspiration

Day five already! NaPoWriMo always goes fast for me because I love poetry so much. This thirty day indulgence each year feeds my soul. The prompt for today is to take inspiration from heirloom plants-because it’s Spring, and planting season.

Naked ladies have made the senses stir-been a feast for the eyes

For as long as hearts have been beating in the chest of man

Delicate pink petals cause us to get lost in a world of daydreams

For they hold the promise of a warm embrace that thrills

As the dark isolation of one season ends

Ushering in the beauty to come as life renews

Symbol of the graceful power of mother nature
