With one more day after today, National Poetry Month is almost over. Participating in NaPoWriMo is something which I look forward to each year. This year has been a little difficult to keep up with, because as I tend to do, I took on a little too much. It looks like I’m going to make it though! Next April, I am limiting myself to participating in NaPoWriMo, and leaving the A to Z challenge behind. It isn’t that I do not like A to Z, it’s just that I truly do not have the time and energy to do both…and poetry gives me a deep satisfaction that no other form of writing does.
The prompt for NaPoWriMo today is to write a poem in the form of a review.
Finding inspiration isn’t hard to do
Follow the Dirty Footprints to the studio door
Colors always swirling, intermingled with freedom
A gentle spirit of fun and wisdom
What a grand mixture it is, so magical
It takes a special soul to teach fearlessness
With a paintbrush in her hand, and yet she does
Let the flow of the paint guide you
At the end of the rainbow is your very essence
