NaPoWriMo Day 27 ~ Hay(na)ku

The prompt at NaPoWriMo for today is to write a hay(na)ku, which is a variation of the haiku. The form for writing a hay(na)ku is to write three line stanzas in which the first line has one word, the second line two, and the third line…well…three.

Tired
Of Being
Always in pain

Fibromyalgia
And CFS
Need a cure

The
Fatigue is
Beyond bone deep

The
Pain is
Beyond the imagination

Imagine
The worst
Flu you’ve had

Now
Picture it
Plaguing you daily

They
Don’t even
Know the cause

But
They do
Know it’s real

They
Used to
Think us crazy

Years
Of scorn
From almost everyone

Did
Nothing to
Help us cope

To
Be vindicated
Even a little

Means
So Much
Removes the sting

A
Little dignity
Goes pretty far
