August WIPs…Some of Them

Below are a few photos of my latest artwork in progress. I’ll keep them updated as they move along. The bottom two squares have a third to match. I only have it primed so far, but it will be white sides and a black face. All three of these squares will have a gorgeous bloom on them. At least that’s the plan for now. We all know how that can change. These square have already started out as something else only to become reacquainted with the gesso.

How good it feels to be moving paint again after a little break due to illness etc. How good, you might ask? Wooohooo

This one is a special request of an underwater scene. Just started the background tonight.

Initial layers of blues and greens...still very wet...so far so good

Initial coat of color. One more to go...then we'll really see it bloom :)

  1. You are really good at underwater. I love the orange and yellow one already! It reminds me of a modern Rothko. I’m glad you are feeling the passion and energy of painting again x
