Today’s prompt at NaPoWriMo is to write a curtal sonnet.
Nature’s Chapel
The birds are singing a siren song
Come out and play, just look at the flowers and trees
Mother nature has painted the sky in that perfect shade
Somewhere between heaven and sea blue
A fresh, cool breeze tickles my cheek playfully
To resist this call is futile, and so I go
To sit under the canopy of a willow by a running stream
This is my church, my sanctuary of the divine
Listening to the music of the earth itself
Water tumbling over rocks and leaves rustling in the wind
Oh, the beauty.
This has made me want to go outside for a country walk. Except it’s dark and I can’t. I’ll do it tomorrow. Love this line Somewhere between heaven and sea blue” What a lovely description. 🙂
Hope you get out Jules. I was out roaming all afternoon yesterday…couldn’t make it into the country but it was gorgeous all the same. 😀
