NaPoWriMo Day 6 ~ Sunday Morning

Rain washed skies, shaded with muted grey hues
Heavy clouds hanging overhead, some say ominously
I think perhaps they are heavy with promises
Of a cozy day spent quietly sharing tea and secrets
As droplets slide slowly down window panes
Music softly blending with the sound of the rain
Crossword puzzles and newspapers scattered around
Left in not so neat piles to be finished later
Daydreamy day where the rest of the world melts away
And we dwell in a land of our own
Till the sun peeks through the mist
Beckoning us to come out and play
