Enchanted

My heart was as desolate as a disused graveyard

Where even the dead feel lonely

Until you came along and drew me in

As a moth to the flame just begging to be singed

I crave the heat of your touch

The smoldering danger in those smoky eyes

Ignoring the signs warning me to stay away

For who can resist the temptation of such a ready muse

Even when it seems that the journey is destined to end in less than fairytale fashion

It is impossible to break the spell

What sort of magic is this which enchants so deeply

That the heart silences the voice of logic?
