Pure Magic

Rhythms beating trance like on a warm Summer’s night
All senses melding into one blissful experience
Sound of your heart indistinguishable from the sensual throb of a Darbuka
As you walk hand in hand, savoring the touch of a special someone
Exotic scents waft through the air deliciously, making a heart swoon
Curry, patchouli, incense from a Buddhist center, a whiff of his cologne
The fading pink light of sunset magically coloring the atmosphere
With rose hues which can only be called the shade of romance
One of those magical evenings which live on, long after they end
Something to smile about in the days and weeks to come
This is the stuff with which even the best of dreams could not compare
Yet similar in the bittersweet reality that both dreams and nights end.
