Guest Post by Evangeline…Venus Fly Trap

I am pleased to post another fantastic post by the amazing Evangeline! This time, she presents Venus Fly Trap, which have fascinated me since I was younger than she is now. As always, she has done a great job and has managed to pack a lot of information around her detailed artwork. It’s been a little while since we’ve had something to offer from her…she’s had a busy month. She has been doing a lot of work in her regular studies, plus she just had a birthday, which is always exciting.

Evangeline, thank you for the lovely post and again…Happy Birthday!

  1. Great post Evangeline! And Happy Birthday! Your drawings are awesome AND, I too had no idea they spit things out! I think I'm going to do that too. If I don't like something I'm just going to spit it out!

  2. Hi MiMi! She really does good work. You know…I agree with you…we should all just be like the Venus Fly Trap! Thanks for wishing her a Happy Birthday. I'll be sure that she sees your comment. 🙂

  3. Hi Angela! I think that Evangeline's work is very pretty too. She's so creative! Wow, I had no idea that they have these at Petco…going to have to check that out at some point. Hmm…I had one of these when I was a young child but cannot remember much about the feeding process…now I'm going to have to look it up. Thank you so much for the comment. I'll be sure that she sees it! 🙂

  4. The Venus Flytrap is one of those creatures that blurs the line between plants and animals. We think that there are clear distinctions, but if you look closely, it's not so clear. I love Evangeline's illustrations! They are so bright and lively. 🙂

  5. I know what you mean Spark. I just talked to Evangeline today and she let me know that the fact that they eat insects is a result of the evolutionary process…because they are native to very poor soil and weren't getting enough nutrients. She is so smart and filled with interesting information…she amazes me. Her illustrations are pretty awesome! I'll make sure that she knows that she has gotten another comment. 🙂
